Colin Family Mediation Group (CFMG) has seven certified, professional family mediators ready to help families in Virginia resolve disagreements and stay out of court.

Our primary mission is to help family members solve problems. We can help people with a wide variety of issues. These include custody and visitation plans for unwed parents, child support, separation, divorce, alimony, property settlement agreements, reconciliation agreements, elder care, inheritance disputes, how to manage the family’s budget, how to handle a rebellious teenager, prenuptial agreements, and postnuptial agreements.

Colin Family Mediation Group also has a second mission. We want to educate the world about the existence and value of family mediation. Far too many people have never heard of this profession. Especially in cases of divorce, far too many people, including children of all ages, suffer unnecessary anguish and trauma because people do not know what family mediators can do. All over the U.S.A. and in most parts of the world, family mediators can help people make their decisions, put them in writing, and avoid adversarial litigation.

Family mediation is private and confidential. Mediators are required to be impartial. Our role is to help people negotiate constructively and create solutions that work for them in their unique circumstances. Is that not the best way to resolve family problems?
