Marriage Mediation

while we were fighting
while we were arguing
you were trying to
help us both understand
that the reason why we were arguing
was only a lack of
knowing
that the things she thought i meant
i never said,
and that our love for each other
was overflowing
thank you for helping us understand
the reasons why we always reach out
for the other’s hand,
how love floods in when nothing else can
